LGTM!
I would just use the type instead of var as you've used along the new code. C# is strongly typed (thank YOU for that) so let's embrace it.
I find it much more easy to read through the code when I don't have to "think" about the type and go the extra mental step of "translating" it.
Sonarcloud review is also a big fan of this style and always suggests to use typed vars.
